Our Behavioral Health Technician serves in a direct care role, primarily responsible for interacting with and supervising clients in treatment. Located in Harford County, Maryland, our Joppa Inpatient program provides treatment paths for both men and women for substance use disorders, methamphetamine and other stimulant use, co-occurring disorders, and features a methadone maintenance program for opioid addiction. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Behavioral health or general healthcare experience preferred.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the intake process with new clients entering the program.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation.
  • Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable.
  • Coordinate client activities.
  • Follow the objectives of treatment plans and address client-specific needs.
  • Evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provide appropriate responses, including crisis intervention.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment.
  • Assist with the dietary needs of clients.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
