About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for its new inpatient detox and residential facility in Richmond, Virginia. The role supports daily residential operations, client engagement, and the Behavioral Health Technician team while helping maintain a warm, positive recovery environment and ensuring compliance with Avenues policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• A warm, empathetic personality with the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the Behavioral Health Technician team in its operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale and maintain a warm, positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and Behavioral Health Technicians comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
