About The Position

As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Intern with Hummingbird ABA Therapy, you will provide 1:1 behavioral interventions to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-21 years old who are diagnosed with a qualifying diagnosis. The internship position is designed for a student enrolled in undergraduate or graduate coursework who requires a full-time internship for their program.

Requirements

Have at least a high school diploma and be currently enrolled in an educational program.
Must have PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Clearances.

Responsibilities

Provides face-to-face behavioral interventions.
Implements Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP) while working 1:1 with clients.
Provides support to parents, teachers, and community members.
Delivers and models treatment interventions.
Provides positive reinforcement to the clients and families.
Implements consequences for inappropriate actions as agreed upon.
Communicates with peers and co-workers and exchanges information, which is important in achieving the individual goals for the clients.
Setting and adhering to professional boundaries with all clients and families.
Provides culturally aware and competent service provision.
Completes initial training curriculum as per company requirements and guidelines, and state regulatory standards.
