About The Position

Northeast Counseling Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) team in Luzerne County. In this rewarding role, you'll provide one-on-one and group support to children and adolescents, helping them build skills, overcome challenges, and achieve their treatment goals. Working closely with our Behavioral Consultants, you'll play a vital role in creating positive change for youth and families in our community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• Valid Driver's License required
• Successful completion of an FBI Clearance, PA Criminal Clearance and Child Abuse Clearance.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma with experience working with children or adolescents preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group support to children and adolescents.
• Help children and adolescents build skills, overcome challenges, and achieve their treatment goals.
• Work closely with Behavioral Consultants.
• Create positive change for youth and families in the community.
• Attend mandatory ongoing training and workshops.
• Utilize knowledge of the CASSP System.
• Utilize knowledge of the mental health and social service field.
• Be familiar with and able to access community resources.
• Make accurate assessments of client needs.
• Be creative in seeking appropriate services.
• Organize time efficiently to meet client needs in a flexible, non-traditional time frame.
