About The Position

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join their team. This role is part of Lifepoint Health, a healthcare delivery network. The BHT will contribute to the mission of making communities healthier by providing direct patient care and support within a behavioral health unit. The hospital is a modern, state-of-the-art 295-bed acute care facility with various specialty services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 45 days of hire.
• Handle with Care (HWC) must be obtained within 45 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living.
• Provides or assists with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Observes and records patient behavior and activities.
• Reports any changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.
• Provides crisis intervention with incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.
