We are currently hiring a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Driver to support both client care and transportation services at out residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment center in Duncansville. In this role you will be serving adults on their path to recovery and long-term wellness. This role is critical to daily operations, ensuring clients receive safe, reliable transportation while also providing hands-on support throughout their recovery journey. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in behavioral health, mental health, addiction recovery, or entry-level healthcare careers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (required or willing to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Dependable, organized, and safety-focused
  • Passion for helping others in a recovery-focused environment
  • Candidates selected for hire must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state‑mandated clearances.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or healthcare preferred
  • Experience in customer service, transportation, or caregiving roles is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with client intake and onboarding processes
  • Observe and document self-administration of medication (as applicable)
  • Support implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor client behavior and respond appropriately, including crisis intervention
  • Assist with daily living activities, including meals and environment upkeep
  • Safely transport clients to appointments, meetings, and community activities
  • Supervise and support clients during transport
  • Ensure timely arrival and adherence to schedules
  • Maintain all required transportation and service documentation
  • Coordinate and assist with client activities and programming
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and structured residential environment
  • Complete all required training and compliance documentation
