Behavioral Health Tech - Part-Time , Nights
About The Position
Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, continually growing healthcare organization. The Behavioral Health Tech provides direct patient care and supportive services to patients with mental health disorders and chemically dependent patients, helping ensure their safety and well-being. The role includes carrying out patient care activities that maintain a therapeutic milieu and meet patients’ comfort and safety needs. The Behavioral Health Tech may also perform the duties and responsibilities of an Emergency Department Technician. The position is part-time and involves two 12-hour night shifts, with the listed work hours of 7 PM to 7 AM (also described as 7 PM to 7:30 AM).
Requirements
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or another behavioral health-related field, plus one year of experience in a behavioral health field setting; alternatively, three years of experience in psychiatric settings in a clinical/direct patient care job.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
