About The Position

The Clinical Services Technician (CST) reports to the Shift Manager of the assigned area and performs duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse/Charge Nurse. The CST provides high-quality, individualized basic care activities within the Clinical Services Technician scope of practice. The position helps ensure a safe, healthy environment that encourages socialization and empowerment. The role is subject to overtime, weekend, holiday, and shift work, as well as standby and callback assignments.

Requirements

• High school graduation is preferred.
• At least 6 months of related experience providing direct services to patients or clients in a mental health, substance abuse, or social service agency setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of the needs, problems, attitudes, and behavioral patterns of people with mental disorders and substance use disorders.
• Knowledge of mental health programs and community resources.
• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and methods for relating to individuals experiencing behavioral health problems.
• Verbal de-escalation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of mental health patient rights.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Behavioral management training defined as Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
