About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers dedicated to setting new standards in addiction treatment through evidence-based clinical programs and individualized care. The company offers a range of programs including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. They are currently hiring full-time Behavioral Health Techs/Drivers for their newest outpatient treatment facility in Baton Rouge, LA. The role involves providing day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, engaging with clients, monitoring client safety, fulfilling administrative duties, and safely transporting clients.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification required
• If in recovery, a minimum one - year period of sustained sobriety required
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
• Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality
• Dignified character that models recovery principles
• Extensive knowledge of all motor vehicle laws

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 1-year experience in treatment industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
• Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
• Record and escalate any critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)
• Monitor transportation schedule, safely transporting clients for admit, discharge and appointments as necessary
• Collect and deliver all external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary
• Engage clients on peer support level during transport, and assist with any luggage
• Ensure vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times
