About The Position

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Trainer to support both clients and staff. This role is an integral part of daily operations and plays a critical role in ensuring our Behavioral Health Technicians are well-trained, competent, and prepared to deliver exceptional care. The BHT Trainer is responsible for facilitating onboarding, coordinating training schedules, maintaining training records, and conducting competency evaluations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2 years of experience in a residential or inpatient drug and alcohol treatment setting preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively facilitate training in classroom and hands-on settings
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to engage learners and adapt training methods based on needs
  • Knowledge of behavioral health or substance use treatment environments
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Ability to evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback

  • Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with facility and regional leadership to identify training and development needs
  • Facilitate Behavioral Health Technician onboarding trainings and additional trainings as needed
  • Conduct competency evaluations and skills validations for Behavioral Health Technicians
  • Test, review, and provide feedback on onboarding and training materials
  • Coordinate and monitor training schedules, enrollments, materials, and equipment
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of trainee attendance, progress, and achievements
  • Maintain a centralized database of training materials and resources
  • Conduct employee surveys and interviews to evaluate training effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Remain current on organizational policies and procedures and serve as a resource to trainees
  • Participate in workgroups and organizational performance improvement initiatives
  • Promote consistency and quality in training delivery across the program
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Complete all required trainings and certifications
  • Perform other duties as assigned
