About The Position

Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking highly dedicated and empathetic Behavioral Health Specialists to serve onsite in federal facilities along the Southwest U.S. Border. This is an immediate and critical role where you will directly impact the mental and emotional well-being of children in DHS care who are facing extraordinary circumstances. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, acting as a beacon of support for children in crisis. You will work directly in Customs and Border Protection (CBP) processing facilities, providing essential emotional support and behavioral health oversight to children in high-stress environments.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field.
  • An active, unrestricted license in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychologist (LP).
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience.
  • A strong, calm presence and comfort working in dynamic, high-stakes environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in child development.
  • Experience in trauma-informed care.
  • Experience in clinical evaluations.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a crucial asset (ILR 3/5 or higher).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site facility's go-to behavioral health expert.
  • Conduct regular facility rounds to assess child well-being and identify immediate risks.
  • Provide real-time crisis intervention and expert de-escalation in challenging situations.
  • Offer vital guidance on emotional regulation and behavioral support tailored to the specific needs of children.
  • Work hand-in-hand with CBP, HHS ORR, NGOs, and medical providers to ensure seamless, coordinated care.
  • Play a key role in decisions concerning a child's medical, psychological, and developmental needs.
  • Recommend improvements that promote safe, supportive, and truly child-centered care environments.
