About The Position
Centurion is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist for a full-time position at Pendleton Correctional Facility in Pendleton, Indiana. This role is responsible for using recreational and social activities to foster skill building and problem solving, as well as accomplishing treatment objectives. The Behavioral Health Specialist works as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting patients to enhance their skill sets to reinforce social, adaptive, and independent living skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related social sciences field required
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Nice To Haves
- Specific training in recreational therapy preferred
- National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) preferred
- Correctional environment experience preferred
