Behavioral Health Specialist II in the Brief Intensive Behavior Therapy Program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. This role supports children and adolescents in an outpatient behavior therapy setting, helping patients build adaptive coping, communication, emotional regulation, and safety skills. The specialist implements individualized behavioral interventions under the guidance of licensed clinical providers, collaborates closely with psychologists and interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families. They utilize therapeutic communication, observation, documentation, and de-escalation skills to support patient progress and contribute to a specialized BMCP outpatient program focused on safe, individualized, and evidence-informed behavioral care. Responsibilities include triaging incoming behavior support requests, determining clinic capacity in collaboration with the managing psychologist, and drafting provider communications for psychologist review. The role also involves providing proactive and reactive behavior support directly to providers (medical, speech, OT, psychology) during appointments.
