About The Position
Join a beautiful, brand-new Acute Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital in Northeastern Pennsylvania, located in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre metro area near ski resorts and just 40 miles from the NY/NJ border. This facility treats adults through geriatrics with a focus on Mental Health, Behavioral Disorders, Substance Abuse & Addiction. An adolescent unit is opening soon. The staffing ratio is approximately 1:20, based on acuity. Documentation is primarily done via Epic, with paper charting for restraints. The hospital features an Omnicell medication system and an onsite pharmacy open 24/7.
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania RN License at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of recent Behavioral Health/Psych experience
- Experience working with patient restraints required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with adolescent population (as an adolescent unit is opening soon).
Responsibilities
- Provide care for adult through geriatric patients with Mental Health, Behavioral Disorders, Substance Abuse & Addiction.
- Document patient care using Epic and paper charting for restraints.
- Administer medications using the Omnicell medication system.
