About The Position

CLFC Healthcare and Communications is hiring a per diem Registered Nurse for Wayne County’s outpatient mental and behavioral health clinic in Lyons, New York. The on-site clinic serves adults and youth, and the nurse works alongside psychiatric prescribers, therapists, and care managers. The role focuses on medication management, long-acting injectable medications, metabolic monitoring, patient education, and collaboration with the clinical team. This is a W-2 hourly per diem position with self-selected weekday availability. Shifts are Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM; there are no nights, weekends, or holidays. The hourly rate is $52.00–$58.00, based on experience. Pre-authorized overtime is paid at time and a half, and pay is issued weekly. A confirmed clinic cancellation two hours or less before a shift begins is paid for four hours. Orientation is paid at the employee’s rate. CLFC reimburses New York license renewal and CPR renewal, supports continuing education and certifications, and offers up to $1,500 per year in tuition assistance toward a BSN. A $500 referral bonus is available for bringing a nurse or aide onto the roster. Fingerprinting, immunizations, screening, and license verification are arranged and paid for by CLFC. Paid sick leave accrues under New York law, and CLFC professional liability insurance covers each shift. Shifts are offered through the BRIDGE App, where nurses choose and confirm the shifts they want. A Program Manager is available to assist with scheduling and pay questions.

Requirements

Current, unrestricted New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Current BLS (CPR).
At least one year of recent RN experience that includes psychiatric, behavioral health, or substance use treatment.
Ability to complete the New York State Department of Health Criminal History Record Check and a drug screen.
Current with the clinic’s required immunizations.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of psychiatric nursing experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
Experience administering long-acting injectable medications and conducting metabolic monitoring.
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing certification (PMH-BC).

Responsibilities

Administer and document oral and injectable psychiatric medications, including long-acting injectable medications.
Monitor vital signs, metabolic screening, and medication side effects, and keep the prescriber informed.
Educate patients and families about medications and treatment plans.
Coordinate care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, and care managers.
Document care in the clinic’s electronic health record.
Respond to clinical emergencies according to clinic protocol.
