VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS), a leader in correctional healthcare, is seeking a Full-Time Qualified Behavioral Health Professional for the Sedgwick County Adult Detention Facility in Wichita, Kansas. Requirements

• Must be a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician who can administer assessments, make clinical decisions, and provide Mental Health treatment.
• Must hold an active license as LMSW, LPC, LMFT, LMLP, or equivalent.
• Must possess active CPR certification.
• Excellent and timely documentation skills required.
• Ability to make independent clinical decisions, while utilizing assistance and supervisory intervention as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
• Clinical skills such as prioritizing treatment needs, crisis management, brief clinical interventions including CBT and Motivational Interviewing.

Responsibilities

• Performs risk assessment of inmates.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary teams, including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals, and corrections.
• Conducts discharge planning.
• Assists inmates in planning and implementing treatment goals during their stay.
• Assists in planning and implementing program and project goals and objectives.
• Prepares necessary documentation, records, and reports.
