About The Position

Open Door Health Services is seeking a full-time Practice Manager at 333 S. Madison and 2600 W. White River Blvd. in Muncie, Indiana in the Behavioral Health Department. As an Open Door Practice Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our Behavioral Health clinic, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for clinic performance across operations, staffing, quality, patient experience, and financial outcomes. You will partner closely with providers and leadership to improve access, optimize patient flow, and support care delivery for underserved populations. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, Open Door Health Services provides comprehensive primary, urgent, preventive, and select specialty services and social support programs for individuals and families, regardless of their ability to pay. Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Behavioral Health clinic operations experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Social Services Administration, or related field, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Behavioral Health department operations and clinic workflows.
  • Support providers by removing operational barriers and coordinating necessary resources.
  • Improve patient access, scheduling efficiency, and provider productivity.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction and key performance indicators.
  • Review operational dashboards and develop action plans for performance improvement.
  • Use data and analytics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee scheduling, patient flow, front desk operations, EMR processes, and inventory management.
  • Serve as a first point of escalation for patient and staff operational concerns.
  • Lead projects focused on quality, efficiency, patient care, and service expansion.
  • Manage departmental budgets, expenditures, staffing, and resource planning.
  • Apply Lean, PDSA, and continuous improvement methodologies to improve operations.
  • Lead implementation of new workflows, technology, operational initiatives, and organizational changes.
  • Hire, coach, mentor, evaluate, and discipline staff while promoting employee engagement.
  • Oversee orientation, training, policies, procedures, and staff accountability.
  • Ensure operations comply with organizational policies, privacy/security standards, and state and federal regulations.
