About The Position

RHA Health Services is hiring for a Behavioral Health Licensed Counselor/Social Worker for their Behavioral Health Urgent Care/Overnights position. This role involves providing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as those facing mental health and substance use challenges. The position is based in an office setting and focuses on crisis assessment, discharge planning, care coordination, and risk assessments. The ideal candidate is positive, personable, and eager to make a difference. The role emphasizes strength-based interventions, recovery promotion, symptom reduction, increased coping skills, and linkage to appropriate care within the Behavioral Health Crisis Center.

Requirements

  • Must meet the requirements of a Fully or Associate Licensed Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Master’s Degree or Higher & 1+ years full-time experience with population served.
  • License, Provisional License, Certificate, Registration, Permit issued by governing board regulating human service profession.
  • Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance required
  • Complete criminal background
  • Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
  • Drug testing
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required)
  • Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Case Management functions of linking and arranging for services and referrals
  • Provide support to individuals with Mental Health (MH) or Substance Abuse issues in a crisis center setting.
  • Complete crisis assessment, discharge planning and care coordination with stakeholders.
  • Complete risk assessments such as the Columbia Suicide Severity Scale and the Violence Risk Assessment
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and solution focused interventions
  • Working closely with other clinical/professional staff to maintain communication and providing feedback
  • Complete all documentation accurately in within the current working shift
