About The Position

Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Behavioral Health Intern. This role involves providing services under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals. Applicants must possess "Registered Intern" status from the state of Florida (Licensed Mental Health Counselor Intern or Licensed Clinical Social Worker Intern). Interns will conduct assessments, interventions, and consultation/liaison services in various hospital settings, adhering to performance and medical documentation standards, professional competencies, and post-graduate training guidelines. The internship also includes scholarly activities, continuing education, and clinical supervision. Successful completion of the two-year Baptist Behavioral Health post-master’s internship will provide the necessary direct contact and supervision hours for licensure in Florida.

Requirements

  • Must have already obtained “Registered Intern” status from the state of Florida to apply (Licensed Mental Health Counselor Intern Required OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker Intern Required)
  • 1-2 years Clinical Documentation Experience Required
  • 1-2 years Therapeutic Experience Required
  • Less than 1 year Psychological Assessment Experience Required
  • Less than 1 year Psychological Diagnosis Experience Required
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS) required

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Social Work/Counseling preferred

Responsibilities
