Behavioral Health Intake Specialist LPCC/LISW
About The Position
At ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions, we offer unique and individualized care to children, adolescents, adults, the aging population, those with developmental disabilities, and those suffering from extreme trauma. Our clients are supported by a team of mental health counselors, social workers, certified nurse practitioners, case managers, and psychiatrists to ensure the best outcomes for those we serve. This role provides clinical oversight, conducts intake assessments, behavioral health intakes, and psychosocial assessments. It also serves as a team resource support within a regional BHI team serving skilled nursing and long-term care (SNF/LTC) settings, supports Value-Based Care initiatives, and acts as a clinical resource escalation point for Behavioral Health Coordinators. This position is ideal for clinicians who enjoy systems-level impact, interdisciplinary collaboration, and shaping a growing behavioral health program.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Must be licensed as an LPCC, LPCC-S, LISW, LISW-S or IMFT
- Master’s degree in social work, professional counseling or marriage and family therapy; license must be maintained during employment.
- Must be Medicare-eligible to provide intake and assessment services
- Possess a minimum of three (3) years of behavioral health, case management, or related clinical experience.
- Must be responsible, mature and flexible
- Must possess excellent decision-making, time management and communication skills
- Must be able to respond calmly to crisis situations
- Demonstrate the ability to direct others in a confident, respectful manner and exercise good judgment in interactions with residents, families, employees, peers and regulatory agency personnel.
- Must appropriately handle confidential information.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical experience treating individuals with a variety of diagnoses and presenting issues is preferred.
- Experience working in skilled nursing facilities, long-term care settings, geriatric populations, Value-Based Care programs, and/or Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) programs is preferred.
- Experience conducting diagnostic assessments and behavioral health intake preferred.
- Prior team lead, supervisory, or clinical leadership experience is also preferred.
- Bilingual language skills are a plus.
