About The Position

A paraprofessional person working on a therapeutic team involved in the operation of a transitional 24-hour group home facility. This role assists clients in matters relating to daily living, including procurement of food, meal preparation, care and maintenance of the house and grounds, and supervision of residents. The position also involves crisis intervention, assisting with medication monitoring and distribution, coordinating social and recreational activities, and transporting clients to Day Treatment. The role requires participation in in-service training and other duties as assigned by management. The position is Full-Time and Non-Exempt.

Requirements

Must have a valid MT Driver’s License, personal vehicle, and current insurance.
Must be able to transport clients.
Completion of high school or equivalency is required, or job-related vocational training.
Excellent computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Must complete and pass the medication training test within initial probation period.
One-year job related experience serving persons with severe disabilities or CNA experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists in matters relating to daily living in the group home including, but not limited to procurement of food, meal preparation, care and maintenance of the house and grounds and supervision of the residents.
Assists clients in problems relating to daily living activities.
Performs crisis intervention.
Assist psychiatric nurse in medication monitoring for transitional home clients.
Assists with distributing prescribed medications.
Maintains required paperwork for assigned clients in accordance with Many Rivers policy.
Coordinates socialization and recreational activities for clients.
Assists with transporting clients to Day Treatment Monday through Friday and participates in Day Treatment activities.
Participates in activities with clients.
Participates in in-service training as directed by immediate supervisor.
Other duties as assigned by management.
