About The Position

This role involves assisting residents in a group home setting with daily living activities, including meal preparation, shopping, home maintenance, and client supervision. The position requires providing structure and supervision for client safety and well-being, performing crisis intervention, and monitoring for substance use relapse. The worker will also assist with medication monitoring and distribution, maintain client paperwork, coordinate and engage in socialization and recreational activities, and may assist with client transportation to Day Treatment. A strong understanding of HIPAA compliance with SUD 42 CFR is necessary. The role requires the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school or GED is required.
  • Must possess a valid MT driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
  • Must be in recovery for two years, without incarceration, hospitalization, or inpatient admission exceeding 72 hours in the last two years.
  • Must have some knowledge and experience of mental illness and/or substance use treatment and its impact on consumer/survivors and their families.
  • Must be willing to work nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must complete and pass the medication training test within initial hiring probation period.
  • Must have a valid MT Driver's License, personal vehicle, and current vehicle insurance.
  • HIPAA compliance with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) 42 CFR.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in matters relating to daily living in the group home including, but not limited to procurement of food, meal preparation, purchase supplies for the home, care maintenance of the home, clean home, and grounds and supervision of the residents.
  • Assists clients in problems relating to daily living activities.
  • Provides a level of structure and supervision to the clients geared toward client safety and wellbeing.
  • Performs crisis intervention.
  • Will help provide a substance free environment within the home by monitoring clients for signs of relapse into substance use or drug seeking behaviors.
  • Reports suspected use of drug drug seeking behaviors to clinical staff.
  • Assist psychiatric nurse in medication monitoring for clients.
  • Assists with prompting clients to take medications as prescribed and distributing prescribed medications.
  • Maintains required paperwork for assigned clients in accordance with Many Rivers policy.
  • Coordinates socialization and recreational activities for clients.
  • Engages in activities with the clients.
  • May assist with transporting clients to Day Treatment Monday through Friday and participates in Day Treatment activities.
  • Participates in inservice training as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Benefits

  • Shift Differential $1.00 an hour: Weekday night shift hours are 11:00 pm – 9:00 am. Weekend hours are Friday from 11:00 pm until 9:00 am on Monday.
