About The Position

Provide behavioral health counseling and education for students, centered around substance use prevention. The position provides counseling services and works collaboratively with patients, families, physicians, and community providers throughout treatment and discharge.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in behavioral health or a related field.
• No licensing required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
• Administer individual and group therapy.
• Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
• Evaluate progress and the effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Provide patients with information about resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
• Work directly with the patient, family, physician, and community providers to support active, collaborative care from treatment initiation through discharge.
• Attend school-related meetings as requested by the district.
