About The Position

Alexander Youth Network is dedicated to helping children overcome mental health challenges. This role involves providing, coordinating, and monitoring a variety of direct care activities for clients within a treatment environment. The counselor will develop, implement, and facilitate therapeutic activities consistent with the agency's Model of Care, offer appropriate interventions to maintain consumer baseline behaviors, and continuously monitor clients in crisis, reporting behaviors to therapeutic and medical staff. Participation in 1-to-1 monitoring of clients is also required when appropriate.

Requirements

High school diploma is required.
Ability to solve practical problems and address various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

B.A./B.S. in a related human service field is preferred.
Four years of experience in Mental Health is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide, coordinate, and monitor a variety of direct care activities for the clients in our treatment environment.
Develop, implement, and facilitate therapeutic activities consistent with the agency's Model of Care.
Offer appropriate interventions to assist in maintaining consumer baseline behaviors.
Provide continuous monitoring of clients in crisis and report behaviors to therapeutic and medical staff.
Participate in 1 to 1 monitoring of clients when deemed appropriate.
