About The Position
This role is within the Geriatric Psychiatry Unit at Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL. The Behavioral Health Counselor will conduct patient assessments, establish therapy treatment goals, administer individual and group therapy, evaluate the progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions, and provide patients with information regarding community resources and therapeutic activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or Psychology required.
Nice To Haves
- BH inpatient experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
- Administer individual and group therapy.
- Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
- Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
