About The Position

Endeavor Health Services is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Counselor to join their team at the 608 William clinic. The successful candidate will possess a passion for helping people, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships. This role involves providing comprehensive counseling services to clients dealing with various mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. The ideal candidate should have a master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field, along with experience in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). The Behavioral Health Counselor will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to deliver quality care and ensure client needs are met, offering an opportunity to significantly impact the lives of others.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as mental health counseling or social work
  • Licensure eligible within 18 months of hire - Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), etc
  • Knowledge of counseling techniques, theories, and practices
  • Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse disorders
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships
  • Ability to identify and assess behavioral health issues
  • Ability to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals, groups, and families
  • Ability to provide crisis counseling and intervention
  • Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to document and maintain accurate records

  • One year of direct service, post-graduate, experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, couples, and family counseling to clients
  • Develop treatment plans and set attainable goals for clients
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Educate clients on topics related to mental health and wellness
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities and techniques to address client needs
  • Conduct assessments and provide crisis management when necessary
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress
  • Provide referrals to community resources as needed
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices
  • Advocate for clients in a variety of settings
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals as needed
