Counsel and advise groups with behavioral health concerns. May counsel individuals, families, or groups or engage in prevention programs. Provide support, training and education to mental/behavioral health care and case management staff as needed. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

Requirements

  • Master's Degree Related Field of Study required
  • Related experience 3-5 years required
  • Demonstrates proficient clinical judgment and application of professional values and ethics.
  • Integration of prior clinical experience into current practice.
  • Demonstrates proficiency to formulate assessment of risks, crisis intervention, psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and the documentation of both in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates proficient working knowledge of internal and external resources and refers appropriately.
  • Ability to advocate , coordinate, and continuously communicate with treatment plans with patients, family and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Utilizes supervision and consultation regularly and appropriately.
  • Engages in quality improvement projects, uses data to measure progress.

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker [LCSW - MA] - preferred
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker [LICSW - MA] - preferred
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist [MA] - preferred
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor [LMHC - MA] - preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute group counseling sessions.
  • Assisting Therapists in the discharge process.
  • Participate in staff meetings.
  • Train new staff as needed.
  • Individual counseling utilizing evidence-based treatments.
  • Understanding and maintaining the confidential nature of all client and program related activities.
  • Collaborate with IEP team members including consultation IEP services.
  • Evaluates children and adolescents to risk for harm to self or others and triggers to such.
  • Facilitate skill-based groups.
