About The Position

A facility near Willits, CA is looking for a full-time Behavioral Health Counselor to join their team. This role involves treating children, assessing client needs for therapy, and coordinating all aspects of client treatment with ongoing counseling. The counselor must be knowledgeable of community resources and programs, making appropriate referrals for Behavioral Health (BH) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services.

Requirements

• Must be comfortable treating children
• Must be able to assess the clients need for Therapy
• Must be knowledgeable of community resources and programs and make appropriate referrals as required for both BH and SUD Services
• Must maintain knowledge of community resources and programs and make appropriate referrals as required
• Must coordinate all aspects of your client’s treatment and provide ongoing counseling
• Must possess a current and active license as an LCSW or MFT to practice counseling in the State of California or be a registered LCSW/MFCC intern with the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
• Must be aware of the State and Federal regulations regarding confidentiality and release of Medical and Behavioral Health information.
• Must be aware of current reporting laws concerning sexual, physical or emotional abuse of a minor or adult, and current laws pertaining to therapists.
