About The Position

Planned Parenthood of Florida is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Clinician to join their team. This is a hybrid position providing both virtual/Telehealth services and in-person care at their Kissimmee health center. Candidates must be located in the Kissimmee area and able to report to the Kissimmee health center on designated in-person days. This position is open to both licensed and unlicensed clinicians who meet the applicable education and experience requirements. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience delivering brief, evidence-based therapy to diverse populations.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care and adaptability across virtual and in-person settings.
  • Commitment to reproductive rights and the mission of Planned Parenthood.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be comfortable discussing sexuality, reproductive health, and related topics in an open, inclusive, and respectful manner.
  • Must meet all applicable training, supervision, CEU, and/or licensure requirements based on licensure status.
  • Must be located in the Kissimmee area and able to work both virtually and in person at the Kissimmee health center as scheduled.
  • Must have the flexibility to work Saturdays in the future, if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Florida licensure as an LMHC or LCSW is preferred for licensed candidates.
  • Preferred experience working with LGBTQIA+ populations, perinatal mental health, or other specialty areas.
  • EMDR certification or other relevant clinical credentials preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, trauma-informed clinical assessments and therapy using evidence-based methods such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and EMDR (if certified).
  • Provide services through a hybrid model, including virtual/Telehealth services and in-person care at the Kissimmee health center, ensuring consistency in clinical quality, documentation, and care.
  • Address a wide range of behavioral health concerns, including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment issues, identity-related distress, and challenges related to social determinants of health.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate group therapy sessions based on current patient needs and program priorities.
  • Conduct screenings and assessments for behavioral health and social determinant needs; document thoroughly using EHR templates.
  • Coordinate care planning and referrals internally and externally, leveraging platforms such as Unite Us.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, billing entries, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in team meetings, peer reviews, supervision, wellness activities, onboarding of new staff or interns, and community outreach when needed.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling, including the potential for Saturday work in the future based on program and patient needs.

Benefits

  • Salary compensation: Starting at $70,000, with final compensation commensurate with experience, credentials, and licensure status.
  • Eligible for all applicable benefits effective the first of the month following 30 days from your hire date.
  • Paid Time Off accrues immediately but cannot be used until after 90 full days of employment.
