About The Position
Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor for their Eating Disorder department in Hoffman Estates, IL. This full-time, day shift position involves administering group therapy, maintaining confidential records, providing patients with community resource information, and collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and community providers to ensure comprehensive care from treatment initiation to discharge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or Psychology required.
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work preferred
- Experience working with eating disorder clients preferred
Responsibilities
- Administer group therapy.
- Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
- Provide the patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
- Work directly with the patient, family, physician, and community providers to ensure active and collaborative care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.
