The Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) position requires an independent license to practice in a health care setting such as a LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) or LCPC (licensed clinical professional counselor). The BHC is a generalist assigned to a community health center, is part of the patients’ care team and works with individuals, groups, and families, of all ages, providing evidence-based, integrated behavioral health care for both mental and physical health conditions. The individual in this position must be comfortable providing telehealth counseling, working in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible schedule, able to complete at least 8 patient visits per day, and adept in working closely with medical providers and other care team members.
