About The Position
Easterseals MORC is hiring a home-based Behavioral Health Clinician to provide behavioral health services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their families. The clinician provides psychotherapy and support, conducts assessments, develops diagnoses and participates in creating person- and family-centered treatment plans. The role also monitors progress, coordinates services, maintains required clinical records, collaborates with a team, and provides crisis intervention on an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
- Active professional license in an applicable field (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, etc.).
- At least one year of experience providing behavioral health services to youth.
- Valid Michigan driver's license and current auto insurance; must possess and maintain both.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, conjoint, or family psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their families.
- Conduct clinical assessments, develop diagnoses, and participate in developing person- and family-centered treatment plans with client families.
- Monitor client progress and coordinate appropriate mental health and other needed services.
- Maintain electronic and paper charts, including documentation of services, progress notes, treatment plans, periodic reviews, and client rights documents.
- Participate in individual supervision and team meetings to review progress, identify barriers, and develop strategies to help families reach their goals.
- Participate in utilization review committee meetings to review case records for contract compliance, quality assurance, appropriateness of services, and treatment progress.
- Provide crisis intervention on an on-call rotation to help offset potential risk of self-harm or conditions that could lead to out-of-home placement.
