About The Position

Easterseals MORC is hiring a home-based Behavioral Health Clinician to provide behavioral health services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their families. The role includes psychotherapy and support services, clinical assessment and diagnosis, person- and family-centered treatment planning, progress monitoring, service coordination, documentation, participation in supervision and team meetings, utilization reviews, and crisis intervention through an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
• Active professional license in an applicable field (such as LLMSW, LMSW, or LLPC).
• At least one year of experience providing behavioral health services to youth.
• Valid Michigan driver's license and current auto insurance; must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, conjoint, or family psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their families.
• Conduct clinical assessments, develop diagnoses, and participate with client families in developing person- and family-centered treatment plans.
• Monitor client progress and coordinate appropriate mental health and other needed services.
• Maintain electronic and paper charts, including required service documentation, progress notes, treatment plans, periodic reviews, and client rights documents.
• Participate in individual supervision and team meetings to review progress, identify barriers, and develop strategies to help families reach their goals.
• Participate in utilization review committee meetings to review case records for contract compliance, quality assurance, appropriateness of services, and treatment progress.
• Provide crisis intervention on an on-call rotation basis to help offset potential risk of self-harm or conditions that could lead to out-of-home placement.
