About The Position

Rosecrance is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Behavioral Health Clinicians. This role involves providing mental health rehabilitation and support to children, adults, and families. The goal is to decrease hospitalization and crisis episodes, increase community functioning, and help clients achieve rehabilitative, resiliency, and recovery goals. The clinician will ensure continuity of program services ethically and legally within a safe, therapeutic environment, adhering to regulatory and accreditation standards. They will also participate as a team member in delivering mental health services and integrating recovery principles into clients' daily lives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
• Must qualify as a MHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132
• Illinois Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC), or licensed in Illinois as a LSW or LPC which supersedes the CADC within 2 years of employment in substance used disorder services.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Computer proficiency required
• Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record
• Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the prescribed time frames
• Skilled in conducting individual, family and group counseling
• Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Ability to work within a team
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance

Responsibilities

• Work hours prescribed by leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
• Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members.
• Complete client psychosocial and individualized treatment plan within required time frame.
• Identify client clinical and case management needs and work to address those needs.
• Educate client and client support members regarding all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.
• Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients.
• Ensure that documentation in client service record is maintained consistent with expectations defined by SUPR, TJC and Medicaid regulations.
• Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. admissions, case management and discharge plans).
• Assume on-call responsibilities per schedule or when designated.
• Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, and staff and community groups.
• Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients.
• Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
• Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the framework of the law.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
• Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
• Assume other related responsibilities as delegated and assigned by management.
