About The Position

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is looking for a Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team in Belchertown, MA. This role is within a supportive work environment that utilizes an integrated care, short-term model. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with standard business hours (8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday) and no on-call, weekend, or holiday duties. The role is located at the Quabbin Adult Primary Care Clinic in Belchertown, MA, with onsite parking available.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in providing treatment in outpatient mental health settings.
  • Independent licensure: LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker); In some work settings, LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) may be permissible.
  • Clinical assessment, brief, evidence-based psychotherapy techniques, administration and interpretation of behavioral health screening instruments, and team-based collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and health care systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Knowledgebase related to issues of cultural competence.
  • Masters Degree

Nice To Haves

  • Five or more years of experience in providing treatment in outpatient mental health settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provides therapeutic services to patients/families.
  • Utilizes evidence-based therapeutic modalities and approaches to facilitate optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Makes use of Measurement-Based Care tools as needed and/or directed by the Clinical Supervisor to inform treatment decisions and meaningfully involve the patient/family in treatment.
  • Provides developmentally informed and culturally sensitive treatment to patients and families.
  • Collaborates with the patient/family to develop behaviorally specific treatment plans including measurable treatment goals.
  • Completes all documentation related to treatment in the clinical record according to established departmental standards consistent with Joint Commission guidelines.
  • Manages the necessary documentation and provides the information required by third-party payers to secure reimbursement, as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.
