The Behavioral Health Clinician II (BHC II) provides screening, consultation, behavioral interventions, referrals, counseling, and therapy to patients within an integrated medical and behavioral health setting. Makes clinical recommendations and refers patients to appropriate levels of care in a team-based setting. Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of California. This position requires a strong team player and self-starter. The BHC II provides mental health and substance use assessments and treatment to patients across multiple sites. The BHC II promotes patients' self-management and empowers patients and families to achieve maximum levels of wellness and independence. Reporting to the Director of Re-Entry Services, the BHC II is embedded within the Re-Entry Services team and focuses on providing behavioral health services to justice-impacted individuals throughout Los Angeles County and surrounding communities. The clinician maintains an active patient caseload while collaborating closely with Re-Entry case managers through case consultation, treatment planning, and clinical guidance to ensure coordinated, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care. The BHC II facilitates access to behavioral health, substance use treatment, and community resources, supporting successful community reintegration while ensuring compliance with all clinical, licensing, and funding requirements.
