The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) has an opening for a Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor (PCN 154933) at the Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH) in the Young Adult Services (YAS) Unit in Middletown. This position plays a direct role in supporting patient and staff safety, reducing behavioral health risks, strengthening the clinical team, and ensuring that highly acute young adults receive effective, coordinated, and supportive treatment. Develops program goals and objectives. Monitors and evaluates staff performance and identifies training and professional development needs. Works closely with DMHAS leadership and serves as a key liaison between the Young Adult Services Unit and the broader Young Adult Services section. Requirements

Four (4) years of professional experience in behavioral health care and a Master’s degree in a clinical discipline, public health administration, health care administration or hospital administration.
Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been supervising professional staff.
Incumbents in this class must maintain the appropriate current license for clinical social work, marital and family therapist, professional counselor, registered nurse, psychologist or alcohol and drug counselor.

Responsibilities

Manages the staff and operations of a clinical program, discipline or specialized area
Coordinates, plans and manages program activities
Formulates program goals and objectives
Develops or assists in the development and implementation of related policy

Maintains contacts with individuals both within and outside of program who might impact on program activities
