About The Position

As a Behavioral Health Clinical Assistant (BHCA), you will be a supportive and integral member of the Behavioral Health (BH) department by assisting the Psychiatric Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) and completing tasks for the behavioral health clinicians. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others, flexible, and a positive team player. This position requires an individual who can multitask, has strong written and verbal communication, excellent organizational skills, and experience in medical assisting and clerical work. Must be able to communicate with people of various diverse backgrounds, ensuring all patients are treated in a sensitive and compassionate way.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year of experience as Medical Assistant in an outpatient health care setting
  • Experience in a behavioral health and/or integrated care setting
  • Experience documenting patient care in an electronic health record
  • Certified Medical Assistant, required
  • Basic Life Support Certificate, required

Nice To Haves

  • OCHIN Epic experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred, but not required
