Come join a groundbreaking early childhood behavioral health program at our Hughes Spalding Hospital and help shape something new to make kids better today and healthier tomorrow. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is expanding Behavioral and Mental Health (BMH) services and we’re launching a new, prevention-focused program for our youngest patients—newborns through age 5. As one of our first BMH specialized Social Workers, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that partners closely with families to strengthen the skills they already have, identify what matters most to them, and proactively support their child’s future. This role is ideal for a licensed social worker (LMSW) who sees behavioral mental health as core to overall wellness and wants to make a difference. In this role you will be equipped to offer parental coaching, home visitations, and community-based support. You’ll collaborate with community organizations (DFCS, law enforcement, early literacy programs, basic needs providers, faith-based partners) and advocate alongside families to help them reach their own goals as well as their children’s developmental and health goals. We’re looking for someone who Is energized by building a new program and thinking creatively about how to serve families; values cultural humility and is comfortable working with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences; has a strong advocacy mindset and believes in partnering with families, not just serving them. If this sounds like you and you are interested in helping Children’s to redefine how behavioral health is woven into pediatric care—we’d love to meet you. Ensures that high-quality, comprehensive social work services are provided which support healthcare and coordinate the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
