About The Position

Beachmont Behavioral Health is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. In this role, you will work directly with children, adolescents, and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them build communication, social, behavioral, and independent living skills through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This is a hands-on behavioral health position. Many clients receive ABA services because they engage in behaviors that interfere with learning, safety, relationships, or independence. Behavior Technicians should expect to work with individuals who may exhibit: Elopement (running away), Tantrums, Aggression, including hitting, pushing, pinching, scratching, kicking, or biting, Property destruction, Self-injurious behavior, Refusal or non-compliant behaviors, Emotional regulation challenges. The goal of ABA is not to punish behavior but to teach meaningful replacement skills that help individuals communicate effectively, achieve greater independence, and experience a better quality of life.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
18+ Years Old
Reliable transportation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to receive coaching and feedback
Ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities
Background in education, childcare, psychology, healthcare, or behavioral health

Responsibilities

Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Teach communication, social, self-help, and daily living skills
Collect behavioral data and complete session documentation
Collaborate with families and clinical supervisors
Help individuals increase independence and improve their overall quality of life
