About The Position

As a Behavior Technician at the Hope Network Center for Autism, you will change lives by providing one-on-one direct care to learners aged 18 months to 21 years. You will teach independent daily living skills to improve their quality of life, primarily in a center-based setting, with potential opportunities for home or community-based sessions. This role involves collecting and recording data on learner behavior, collaborating with team members and families, and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. You will follow individualized behavior programming, adhere to specific protocols, and complete documentation and billing accurately and in a timely manner. Hope Network offers a unique, hands-on training experience designed to equip technicians with the skills to provide high-quality services from the outset, including individualized one-on-one training guided by a qualified trainer.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • A valid state of Michigan driver’s license
  • A passion for working with children
  • Experience in healthcare, mental health, behavioral health, childcare, or residential settings
  • Professionalism in communication, attention to accuracy, flexibility, and teamwork
  • Reliability and understanding that punctuality and attendance are essential

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
  • Bilingual/multilingual candidates

Responsibilities

  • Providing one-on-one direct care with learners ages 18 months to 21 years while teaching independent daily living skills for a higher quality of life in a primarily center based setting, with opportunities for home or community based sessions based on treatment plan
  • Collecting and recording data on the learners’ behavior for skill acquisition and distressed behavior reduction goals
  • Collaborating and communicating with team members including the learners’ families
  • Providing a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Following individualized behavior programming
  • Adhering to diet, supplementation, and medication protocols per prescription/parent instructions
  • Completing documentation and billing both timely and accurately
