Completed Education: College enrollment or degree preferred. We will consider your application with proof of high school graduation and an interest in psychology / behavioral health / child development / mental health.
Graduate students in ABA may apply as Behavior Technicians and be eligible to receive clinical training and supervision hours toward BACB requirements, based on performance, role alignment, availability, and program needs.
Childhood vaccinations and non-reactive TB test.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 50 lbs, sit on floors and/or child-sized furniture, and quickly move from a seated position to running stance.

Responsibilities

Teaching children diagnosed with autism meaningful skills including communication, socialization, self-care, and school readiness.
Experiencing a child’s milestones such as first words, first friend, and first shoe tie.
Working closely with and learning from teachers, parents, FirstSteps BCBAs, and behavioral health/mental health specialists.
Becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through a paid training program with initial credentialing fees covered by FirstSteps.
