Behavior Technician working with kids
About The Position
We are looking for a Behavior Technician who is patient, positive, and celebrates small wins for children. While no prior experience is required, we will provide training. This role involves working 1:1 with children aged 18 months to 6 years diagnosed with autism in a center-based environment. You will deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), build skills through play and connection, track progress using ABA technology, and create a safe, positive environment. Preparation for RBT certification is also a key part of the role.
Requirements
- Full-time availability Monday–Friday, between 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Reliability — showing up for scheduled hours and staying on top of administrative tasks
- Resilience and compassion, especially on the tough days
- Ability to obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment
- Physical readiness for the role: pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds; sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and moving quickly alongside kids when needed
Nice To Haves
- Interest in psychology, education, healthcare, or human services
- Experience with children is a plus
Responsibilities
