About The Position

The Edinburg Center is seeking an experienced Part-Time Fee-for-Service Behavior Technician to provide community-based ABA support to 2 individuals in their 30's who have high functioning autism in Watertown, MA. Weekly number of hours will average 6-12 hours per week. Hourly rate: $25/hr. Must be able to meet the below requirements, and must be able to work the following weekly schedule above.

Requirements

  • BA in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Special Education or human service-related field; OR Associate's degree and a minimum of two years relevant direct experience with families and youth with serious emotional and behavioral challenges and autism; OR At least one year of experience utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in a therapeutic setting
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, and be able to meet our safe driving requirements
  • Experience in implementing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism is required.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills, team player

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching new skills, including direct instruction, discrete trial training, incidental teaching, task analysis, and other ABA methods
  • Experience working with youth 21 years and under with serious emotional and behavioral challenges or Autism

Responsibilities

  • Implement, model, and monitor progress of individualized behavior support and skill plans based on data analysis under the supervision of BCBA concentrating on social skills, communication, and behavioral support.
  • Work collaboratively and independently with team members, especially parents.
  • Assist in training parents and caregivers who implement plans with children and families on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable transporting persons served using their own personal vehicle.
