About The Position

This role involves teaching children new skills like communication, sharing, or following directions, often through fun games or activities. You will be a positive role model, encouraging progress and celebrating small victories. The position requires you to stay active, moving around, playing, and engaging throughout your sessions. You will also be responsible for tracking what you worked on and how your client performed, with training provided. Additionally, you will support families by being part of a team that helps them see real progress and hope.

Requirements

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED completed AND have also completed at least one semester of college coursework or are currently enrolled in college courses.
  • At least 6 months of paid or volunteer experience working with children, preferably in educational or therapeutic settings (ABA experience is a plus)
  • You have a smartphone or similar device (e.g., iPad, tablet with internet services or laptop) capable of capturing client session data and are tech-savvy.
  • You can pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, TB test, Pre-employment Physical Exam, and have or receive immunities to MMR/ VZV during our onboarding, which we will pay for.
  • You'll be driving to and from clients' homes, so you have a reliable form of transportation including a valid driver’s license and car insurance.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English Proficiently.
  • Ability to keep up with active children and are enthusiastic and professional.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish speakers earn an additional $0.50/hr.
  • ABA experience is a plus
  • Exposure to individuals with Autism or special needs through family, friends, or work experience is a plus!
