About The Position

Opal Autism Centers is hiring a full-time, center-based Behavior Technician (RBT in Training) in Meridian, Idaho. The role provides hands-on experience supporting children with autism and their families while learning Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) under the mentorship of experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). The position is intended to prepare the employee to become a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). New hires complete paid, structured RBT training at a flat rate of $11.00 per hour. Once RBT certification is obtained and client sessions begin, the pay rate increases to the rate specified in the employment offer letter. Candidates with a valid 40-hour RBT training certificate or who are within the BACB renewal grace period follow a three-week training schedule. Candidates without a valid certificate, or outside the renewal grace period, complete the four-week Opal training program. Training is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Employees already enrolled in external training who have not completed the 40-hour training and received a certificate by their employment start date must complete Opal’s full training program. The listed pay range is $37,440–$52,000, described as hourly pay rather than salary.
