About The Position

Behavior Technician- Center Home Based Services W. Springfield MA Daytime and Early Evening Hours Available | Full-Time & Part-Time Support. Empower. Inspire. Are you passionate about igniting positive change in the lives of children and families? Step into the spotlight as a Behavior Technician (BT) at May Institute! As a BT at our West Springfield Center, you’ll provide one-on-one, evidence-based ABA therapy to help children develop communication, social, play, and daily living skills. You’ll implement individualized behavior support plans (BSPs) and assist in reducing challenging behaviors. You’ll collect data, track progress, and collaborate with supervisors (BCBAs) to ensure effective treatment.

Requirements

Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience
Reliable transportation (travel is required)
Prior experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Thirst for knowledge and passion for implementing evidence-based practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA)

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one, evidence-based ABA therapy to help children develop communication, social, play, and daily living skills.
Implement individualized behavior support plans (BSPs) and assist in reducing challenging behaviors.
Collect data, track progress, and collaborate with supervisors (BCBAs) to ensure effective treatment.
Guide clients through communication, social, and daily living skill development.
Collect and analyze data to track client progress and behavior.
Offer feedback and support to families and caregivers.
Collaborate with BCBAs, therapists, and support staff to deliver interventions.
