About The Position

Cortica is hiring dedicated, compassionate Behavior Technicians to provide naturalistic, play-based ABA services to children with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences. Behavior Technicians deliver individualized care using a strength-based, neurodiversity-affirming model that builds on each child’s unique abilities and supports skills and relationships across home, school, and community settings. The approach combines neuroscience and developmental models and emphasizes collaboration with families and clinicians. The role includes one-to-one and group behavior-analytic services, implementation of positive behavior strategies developed with a BCBA, evidence-based practices, and documentation of session data to support treatment goals. Technicians collaborate with families and supervisors, follow crisis protocols including de-escalation and mandated reporting, and travel between client sites within a 30–40-minute radius using reliable transportation. The position requires completion of a post-offer background check and motor vehicle report review. Cortica provides a two-week, in-person orientation with hands-on training, BCAT exam review, and coverage of exam fees. Technicians are expected to obtain the BCAT credential within 90 days of their start date.
