Behavior Technician
About The Position
Family of Kidz is hiring and has immediate openings for a Full Time Center-Based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist/Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT). This role involves working with children in an engaging and high-energy environment. The position is Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with an hourly rate ranging from $18-24, determined by service provided, professional experience, and license/certifications held. Family of Kidz has been helping children with special needs since 1998, focusing on teaching skills for greater independence and an enhanced quality of life.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months ABA working with children or adolescents with Autism in a supervised setting.
- Successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education or related field.
- Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High integrity.
- Excellent time management/organizational skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Exposure to the practice of maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Clinical Supervisors to implement principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy.
- Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions.
- Acquire and maintain RBT credential in accordance with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) within the first 90 days of employment.
- Use CentralReach platform for data collection and graphing.
- Implement Behavior Support Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans as directed.
- Effectively manage learners including physical crisis intervention protocols, while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
