About The Position

The Arc of Washington County is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our Behavior Support Services team. In this role, you will work directly with individuals, staff, and caregivers to implement behavioral strategies and provide hands-on support across residential, day, and community-based settings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in behavioral health, psychology, mental health, or developmental disabilities who is looking to grow professionally in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a related field — REQUIRED
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in mental health or DDA programs
  • Ability to obtain RBT Certification; training provided for the right candidate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license for at least two (2) years, not including time spent on a learner’s permit
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screen, and physical/fitness test
  • Willingness to attend required paid training and orientation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with behavior plans and/or Applied Behavior Analysis preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide Brief Support Implementation Services (BSIS) in family homes, residential programs, personal supports programs, and day services
  • Implement behavioral strategies face-to-face with individuals receiving services
  • Train staff and caregivers by modeling behavioral interventions and support techniques
  • Conduct observations, collect behavioral data, and complete clinical documentation
  • Assist with crisis intervention services when assigned
  • Work under the clinical supervision of a Behavioral Consultant while maintaining independence in daily responsibilities
